Quilted placemats from the Wiltwyck Quilters Guild delivered for the Thanksgiving week

In the spirit of spreading holiday joy, community members have helped out our Gateway team as they deliver meals to Ulster County seniors, like the Wiltwyck Quilters Guild who made hundreds of beautiful, unique placemats for the Thanksgiving season. And, we just received a box load of holiday cheer in the form of handmade cards from local children to warm the heart and soul.

Bring it Home - Better funding for better care

Call for Increased Financial Support of NY's Mental Health Housing Programs

As the largest provider of residential services in Ulster County, Gateway supports the Association for Community Living Agencies in Mental Health (ACLAIMH)'s Bring It Home: Better Funding for Better Care campaign. Community-based housing serves both the taxpayer and those with serious psychiatric disabilities well. But these housing programs are facing unprecedented fiscal challenges. BRING IT HOME’s mission is to raise awareness, get supporters actively involved, and make sure that the New York State budget includes not only adequate funding, but funding allocated towards the right efforts. Urge Governor Hochul to fund mental health housing programs in her 2022-2023 Executive State Budget Proposal. Send her an email here.
