PROS Fall Fest

The PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services) team and students put on a fall festival, complete with our friends from Sunrays, Inc. We had another spectacular fall day in which our PROS students could go outside to greet our equine guests or partake in autumn themed crafts inside. Day Habilitation joined the group outside as well to greet our special guests.

Congratulations George!!!

"The halls of Gateway have been filled with George's infectious laugh and magnetic personality for 20 years. For those 20 years, the NYS Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) building in Kingston has benefitted from George's dedication and expertise in keeping their halls clean, safe, and sanitary."

Our Gateway family was proud to honor George Kithcart for the NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled) Outstanding Performer Award for 2025. Thank you to Ethan Durham for presenting the award to George at our gathering last week. CONGRATULATIONS!!! And thank you for being an outstanding member of the Gateway team. 

 

Thanksgiving joy...

Local school children and Girl Scouts created beautiful and joyful greeting cards to be delivered to the senior community in Ulster County by our Senior Nutrition Program staff next week. Everyone at Gateway wishes our friends, family, volunteers, and supporters a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

The Holidays are Here...

And we are delighted to be collecting toys and outerwear for children in our community with the help of People's Place's PROJECT SANTA. If you're visiting us any time soon, bring something to donate, new and unwrapped! Thanks!

 

We're already thinking Spring...Fling!

It's not even December and we're already thinking Spring! Tickets are now available for the April 17, 2026, event at The Venue Uptown. Employees Recognizing Employees

The Kudos Card Program was launched in April 2024 by Gateway's Human Resources department.

Employees are encouraged to present a Kudos Card to any other employee to show their appreciation for things like pitching in or being a great team player.  The Kudos Card can be presented to one’s manager, employee, or colleague.  Each quarter, HR draws from the submitted Kudos Cards to give the winner a $50 gift card! 

Kudos Card Recipients are recognized on the employee web portal for a quick reference, but we wanted to publicly recognize those employees here for the fourth quarter 2025, more than we have had since the inception of the program. Thank you for your exceptional work!
