Gateway is Proud
June was Pride Month and we wanted to show our support with a parade and celebration with our staff. We paraded around our headquarters, in and outside, followed by a gathering with sweet treats provided by our new Food Services Manager Diane Reeder! Love is Love and we are so proud of all our differences that make us human.
Sustainability initiatives are spreading throughout the Hudson Valley, and Gateway Hudson Valley is getting greener by launching two electric vehicle charging stations! We held a small ribbon cutting on Friday, June 14 to celebrate the launch of the new electric vehicle charging station. Thank you to Mayor Noble and County Executive Metzger for joining us. We even got to enjoy some John Oliver Bear Cakes from Deising's Bakery before the rain came.
We celebrated our Ulster County Seniors at the Senior Prom hosted by the Office for the Aging (OFA) at the Rosendale Recreation Center. Gateway provided the food, including gold sprinkled creme puffs for dessert! Congratulations to the king and queen of the prom! What a great time!

July 20, we join RCAL and Harambee for their Disabilities Awareness Parade, stepping off from Frank Guido's Little Italy at 11am up Broadway to People's Place where there will be a Resource Fair and Activities. We hope to see you there.
July 27, we will be high above the Hudson River on the Walkway Over the Hudson with Independent Living, Inc. and many other organizations to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act from 12noon - 4:00pm.
