2024 Chronogrammies - Last days to VOTE for GATEWAY 

Thank you for your nominations in the  Affordable Housing Organization and Public Health Organization categories that got us into the top five. We're in the last couple of days of the VOTING round that ends on May 15th. We hope that we can continue to count on you to vote for us daily. 
 
 

Successful Spring Fling - Thank you!

Our annual spring fundraiser at The Venue Uptown brought in over $12,000 to assist with the programs and services that Gateway Hudson Valley offers to adults with disabilities with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities and those in recovery. It was a great fun, and we so appreciate everyone's support.

Kingston Clean Sweep

The Gateway Green Team was proud to clean "our" block of Crown Street during the annual Friends of Historic Kingston Clean Sweep. This annual event brings businesses, community organizations, and government agencies/offices out to take care of our city together, usually on a beautiful spring morning.

PROS student poem in May issue of Chronogram Magazine

Anne Kirby McCarthy, who attends Gateway's PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services) began writing poems when she was 9 years old. She gave her first poetry reading when she was 18 at SUNY Buffalo. Anne traveled in Ireland during the early '90s and then returned to the U.S. to attend nursing school. Anne cared for her mother who had multiple sclerosis in the early 2000's. Anne has been going to Gateway PROS for 4 ½ years and loves the people there, both facilitators and students like herself. She writes poetry because “It’s a way of expressing feelings instead of keeping them inside”.

We are thrilled that her poem "Basket of Snakes" appears in this month's issue of Chronogram Magazine.
