Ulster County Office for the Aging Thanksgiving Meal

Always a great kick-off to the holiday season: the annual Office for the Aging Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, stuffing, all the fixings, and, of course, pumpkin pie was enjoyed by all; along with lots of smiles, laughs, hugs, and catching up.  The Gateway food services team takes pride in providing the meals to our Ulster County seniors at these special meals, the community cafes, and our home delivered meal services. Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

The Magic of Christmas

Another sign of the holiday season are the Project Santa boxes from People's Place. We filled the first of our two boxes lickety-split! Hoping to fill our second box before it's due after Thanksgiving to help keep the magic of Santa alive! If you are visiting the Gateway headquarters, drop off a new toy or outer-wear clothing item for a children ages 6 months to early teen.

 

 

Surviving the Holidays

Our PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services) program recognizes that while the holiday season can be fun and festive, it can also be overwhelming and stressful. Take some time to reassess priorities, to avoid triggering situations, and make self-care a gift you continually give yourself. These tips and suggestions outlined below can help you enjoy what is meant to be a heart-warming season.

 

Backyard Wildlife

Take time to enjoy the wildlife in your own backyard.... It can help you relax or bring you a chuckle, like our neighborhood deer on parade through the Gateway headquarters parking lot. 
 

Ulster County Department of Health

Gateway Hudson Valley had a great time at the Ulster County Department of Health Trunk or Treat, met a lot of wonderful other organizations and community members. Love our county!
