The news of a caring community

Supporting individuals as they strive to achieve a hopeful, satisfying, active, and contributing life.

October 5th - PROS Open House & Art Show

This month, we're inviting the community to a special Open House featuring artwork, refreshments, and opportunities to connect. Come learn what makes PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services) such a unique and supportive program.

Join us on October 5 at 2:00 p.m. for a reception, tour our space, view artwork created by participants, and meet the staff and individuals who bring our program to life.

We hope to see you there! For questions, please contact PROS Director Melissa Utter at 845-331-1261 ext. 289 or [email protected].

The Tradition Continues

Thank you to everyone who helped make Gateway Hudson Valley's 34th Annual Golf Tournament at Wiltwyck Golf Club a tremendous success! From our golfers and volunteers to our generous sponsors, your support helps us continue providing life-changing services throughout the Hudson Valley.

We would like to extend special thanks to our sponsors, including Vetere Surveying, NYSID, Ulster Federal Credit Union, Central Hudson, McCarthy's Pharmacy, TAB Hudson Valley, Ulster Savings Bank, Ellenville Regional Hospital, Herr's, Rotary Club of Kingston, Romeo Auto Group, and the many businesses and community partners who sponsored prizes, carts, tee signs, and event activities. Your partnership makes a meaningful difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

Harvesting Healthy Connections

Our Health Homes team had an APPLEsolutely wonderful time at Office of the Aging's Golden Harvest Fall Festival on September 10th. Suzanne and Destiny enjoyed connecting with community members and sharing information about Gateway's services while playing games and having fun! We had an apple-themed table filled with resources, smiles, and seasonal spirit. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to build community connections and raise awareness of the resources available throughout the Hudson Valley.

Throughout October you'll find us at these upcoming events!

10/7: 2026 Human Services Expo "Trunk or Treat" - 11:00am - 2:00pm, Kingston Plaza (Hannaford/Ball Field Parking Lot)

10/24: RCAL's Jim Garvey Memorial Disability Resource Fair - 10:00am - 3:00pm, St. James United Methodist Church, 35 Pearl St, Kingston, NY

A New Leader for Residential Services

We are pleased to welcome Stacey Garland as our new Vice President of Residential Services.

With decades of experience in residential operations and disability services, Stacey has dedicated her career to improving the quality of life for the people she serves. Her background includes leading residential programs, mentoring staff teams, developing innovative supports, and ensuring individuals receive the person-centered care they deserve.

We are excited for the leadership and vision Stacey brings to Gateway and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our residential programs and the individuals who call them home.

Employees Nominating Employees

The Kudos Card Program was launched in April 2024 by Gateway's Human Resources Department.

Employees are encouraged to present a Kudos Card to any other employee to show their appreciation for things like pitching in or being a great team player.  The Kudos Card can be presented to one’s manager, employee, or colleague. Each quarter, HR draws from the submitted Kudos Cards to give the winner a $50 gift card!

Kudos Card Recipients are recognized on the employee web portal for a quick reference, but we wanted to publicly recognize those employees here for the month of September - Aubrey Vierstra (Residential), Claudia Bonilla (VTS), Courtney Beaupre (Compliance), Isabella Brill (VTS), Jade Meneses (Finance), Janine Shepard-Stivers (HR), Jennifer Sass (VTS), Jessica James (Residential), Judy Cruver (VTS), Keith Blair (Business Services), Michael Mowry (Facilities Maintenance), Richard Donofrio (VTS) and Stephanie Ferraro (Compliance).
